Learn how to make tasty Sevai Upma recipe from our chef Smita Deo on Ruchkar Mejwani. <br /> <br />Sevai Upma is a delicious, homemade, quick and easy to make breakfast recipe where crispy vermicelli are cooked in urad dal, curry leaves, green chilli and mild spices. <br /> <br />Ingredients: <br /> <br />3 tbsp Ghee <br />1 tsp Urad Dal <br />1 tsp Chana Dal <br />1 tsp Mustard Seeds <br />2-3 Green Chillies <br />8-10 Curry Leaves <br />3 Onions, chopped <br />2 tsp Sugar <br />1 tsp Ginger paste <br />2 Cups Vermicelli <br />Salt to taste <br />Coriander Leaves <br />Water <br /> <br />Method: <br /> <br />- In a pan heat some ghee. <br />- Add urad dal and chana dal. Roast them golden brown. <br />- Then add mustard seeds, green chillies and curry leaves. Let them splutter. <br />- Add chopped onions, ginger paste and sugar. Mix everything well. <br />- Add vermicelli and mix well. <br />- Add water enough for the vermicelli to cook. <br />- Add salt and give a stir. <br />- Cover it with a lid and let the upma cook for 5-7 minutes. <br />- When the vermicelli is cooked our upma is ready. <br />- Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve.
